Born in 1911 in Paris (France). Died in 2010 in New York (USA).
Louise Bourgeois moved to New York with her art historian husband R. Goldwater in 1937.
Her work is essentially sculpture and installations of a psychic nature born of personal traumas where sexual and feminine themes are omnipresent.
