Tapio Wirkkala is the most prolific Finnish designer since the second world war.
After studying art in Helsinki, he specialized in glass design.
Wirkkala also emphasizes the value of the natural resources of Finland by sculpting wood such as the cup in plywood, shaped like a leaf.
