Andy Warhol

Born in Pittsburgh (United States) in 1928, died in New York (United States) in 1987

The son of Czech immigrants, he was born in the United States and is known worldwide as the king of Pop Art.
By turns a painter, filmmaker, musician, and photographer, his two careers as an advertising and visual artist are closely linked, both in terms of the techniques used and the themes explored.
His portraits of celebrities, screen-printed on canvas and reproduced endlessly, symbolize the standardization and cult of communication in the new American society of the 1960s.

Just before his death, he designed the first artist's watch in collaboration with Movado.
This edition is limited to 250 pieces.
Five dials depict black and white views of New York buildings highlighted with red hands.
