Avish Khebrehzadeh

Born in 1969 in Tehran (Iran). Lives and works between Rome and Washington, DC.

An Iranian artist, she creates a visual hybrid that reflects her own multifaceted identity.
Poetic, dreamlike, and full of ambiguity, Avish Khebrehzadeh's paintings, drawings, and animations are born from her experience as an immigrant.

In collaboration with the Elisabetta Cipriani Gallery, Avish Khebrehzadeh created a limited edition of glasses enriched with precious decorative elements.
Glasses, like masks or facial ornaments, have been at the center of the artist's recent work. "Our life is a mask, even to ourselves. It is neither visible nor tangible; it is simply there. We mock, ridicule, and constantly transform our mask in the presence of others."
