Barthélémy Toguo

Born in 1967 in Cameroon, he lives and works between Paris and Bandjoun (Cameroon).

His work has developed since the early 1990s through multiple media: initially photography and video, then performance, watercolor, and sculpture.
Through humor, provocation, and poetry, Toguo addresses themes dear to him, such as politics and migratory flows, whether human or commercial.

The Carpe Diem ring is Barthélémy Toguo's very first piece of jewelry.
It is inspired by his famous carved wooden stamps and echoes his exploration of issues of identity and control.
