Gottfried Honegger

Born in 1917 in Zurich (Switzerland), died on January 17, 2016 in Zurich (Switzerland).

He worked on the principle of variations based on a single theme.
While retaining the influence of the Zurich concrete art of Bill and Lohse, he began using vertical, determinate mathematical programming in the 1960s.
He lived and worked for many years in Mouans-Sartoux, in the Alpes-Maritimes region, where he bequeathed his collection to the Museum of Concrete Art.
