Günther Uecker

Born in Germany in 1930

Both a painter and sculptor, the nail has been central to his work since the mid-1950s.
Thanks to Yves Klein, his brother-in-law, he joined the Zéro group in 1961.

In 2011, he created his first piece of jewelry, a ring whose gold protrusions appear nailed to their base.
It recalls the shape of "Chair with Nails" (2007).
