Jean-Luc Moulène

Jean-Luc Moulène, a French artist born in 1955, lives and works in Paris.
Over the course of more than thirty years of production, Jean-Luc Moulène's work is highly diverse. Initially composed of drawings, it now includes paintings, photographs, posters, books, as well as objects and sculptures.
A demanding artist, renowned for being difficult, and sometimes controversial,[9] Jean-Luc Moulène patiently accumulates a body of work that, beyond its diversity, simultaneously expresses a constant reflection on the artist's status in society, a radical critique of the manipulations and seductions of representation, and a formal exploration often not devoid of humor or derision.
This ring is the result of a novel process: the palms of two people clasping their hands tightly are imprinted on a kind of modeling clay then dipped in a gold bath.
