Laurent Grasso (born in 1972 in Mulhouse) is a French multimedia artist. He lives and works in Paris and New York. His protean art uses video as a medium, but also painting, sculpture, photography, installation and micro-architecture. His anachronistic works provoke the intersection of historical moments such as one might find in Renaissance works to adapt them to modern rules. These mysterious atmospheres emanate from almost transcendent signals present in his works, demonstrating the artist's fascination for the power that certain forces can have on the human mind. He reveals the invisible. Very difficult to place in the scale of time, one cannot say whether his art is classical or futuristic.
