Pedro CABRITA REIS, Portuguese artist, born in 1956. He lives and works in Lisbon.
His work spans a wide variety of media—painting, sculpture, photography, and drawing.
Pedro Cabrita Reis has participated in various editions of the Venice Biennale. In 2022, invited by the Louvre Museum, he exhibited "The Three Graces" in the Tuileries Gardens. Minimalist and close to Arte Povera, his rather elementary and crude works are varied but defined by a constant desire to work with raw, salvaged materials. Thus, he creates abstract works from everyday elements that he invites us to look at differently. His works nourish his anthropological reflection on man in his relationship to nature and the world, primarily dealing with the themes of home and territory.
