Ugo Rondinone

Born in 1964 in Brunnen (Switzerland). Lives and works in New York.

For the past twenty years, he has explored, sometimes enigmatically, the themes of fantasy and desire in his installations, photography, painting, and sculpture. Combining multimedia, literature, music, and theater, and creating sensory environments, he establishes a metaphor for subjectivity divided between exteriority and interiority, appearance and essence.

The artist has created gold sculpture-jewelry for the first time in collaboration with goldsmith Pierre Hugo.
A series of seven different masks named after the seven days of the week.
They represent and continue his series of "Moonrise" sculptures.
