Anni ALBERS

Anni Albers left her mark on design and the decorative arts through both her creations and her teaching. She was one of the few women of the Bauhaus movement to achieve success during her lifetime, and the first textile artist to have her own solo exhibition at MoMA in New York. These jewelry kits are based on original pieces presented in 1941 during a traveling exhibition. She believed that ordinary materials could be “very beautiful and even precious” through their ingenuity and audacity, while being playful and timeless.
